Welcome to Embo Escape rental holiday accommodation, situated two miles from
the Royal Burgh of Dornoch. Dornoch is not only located in a designated
National Scenic Area in the Scottish Highlands but is also a town
steeped in history, with a sandstone 13th-century Cathedral, Bishop's
Palace, courthouse and old town jail.
Our holiday accommodation in Embo provides a 'getaway from it all' break while
the area itself offers a range of activities: golf at the world-famous
Royal Dornoch Golf Course (or one of the many in the area), walking
in the neighbouring hills and tracks, fishing on secluded lochs,
birdwatching at Loch Fleet Nature Reserve and beachcombing on the
award-winning sandy beaches - to name but a few! With an enviable
climate and peaceful location, visitors return year after year.
Although a haven for relaxation, Inverness Airport is under an
hour away, as is the Highland capital itself, with all its attractions
and facilities.
Embo is a tiny, former fishing hamlet, situated on a scenic coastline,
two miles by road, or by foot along a lovely bridleway, from Dornoch.
The village has a General Store/PO (with internet access). In season,
the village benefits from the facilities which the local caravan
site has to offer: larger store, pub, restaurant, takeaway, swimming
pool, tennis courts, bike hire, crazy golf and children's play
area.
8 MacLeod Terrace, Embo sleeps 7-9 (sorry no smokers, pets by arrangement). Situated
on the outskirts of the sleepy hamlet of Embo, the property is
an end terrace house enjoying a corner situation with a large sunny
garden and a picnic table/garden seat for warm days.
